Yaimir Jiménez aka "PITIT" aka "LIMPIA TIMPANOS" was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. His interest in music began at and early age. In 1996 he founded the group "Grandes Ligas" (hip hop latino). They made their first demo in 1997 and collaborated with muscicians from the jazz band "Habana Ensemble". Later on "Limpia Timpanos" takes part in the most important cuban hip hop record "Cuban Hip Hop All Stars". Years later he records another album "Cuban Rap Ligas", with the five greatest Cuban hip hop artists, among them "Flaco Pro"(former member of "Orishas"). A few years later Pitit participates on the collection "Cuba-California" with the hip hop star Aceyalone. Between 1997-2001 he stars in the award winning documentary "Inventos Hip Hop Cubano".
Now living in Sweden, Limpiatimpanos is known for his work in the 2004 release Seres Humanos with the group Alianza, unique mixture of Latin Hip Hop, Caribbean rhythms and traditional Cuban music. Before forming ALIANZA and creating the album 'Seres Humanos', PITIT was the director of the hip hop group Grandes Ligas and he also participated in two of the most highly regarded Hip Hop projects in Cuba: Cuban Hip Hop All-Stars and Cuban Rap Ligas (Delabel Editions, France).
Pitit's new album CONFRONTACIÓN draws from his artistic experience to deliver a hard hitting Latino hip hop album. Intended to reach a more commercial audience, the record embeds deep lyrics with the driving beats and arrangements from producers Jhon Po and Jean DC.
