This recording is a collection of some of Los Bocucos' hits from the past, including great covers of "Ay Candela!" and the bolero "20 Años", along with some examples of more modern Cuban son and pilón. This was Roberto Correa's final project as director of Los Bocucos, as he passed away shortly after completion of this recording.
English: Los Bocucos, formed on 1959 by Pacho Alonso, are credited with being the creators of the 'Pilón' rhythm. They enjoyed their maximum popularity during the years 1960 to 1967, the year when Ibrahim Ferrer became the main voice. From 2002 and under the direction of Roimelys Fuentes, Los Bocucos bring us new releases and some of their classic hits.
